Gunsmiths have bad days too...

Sometime back I posted loking for a High Standard Barrel 6-3/4 inch for an old Sport King SK-100. I have a real Ragged gun I want to rebuild and I am Photographing the process from start to finish for Posting here. Anyway, I ordered a set of plastic Replacement Grips from an outfit, when they came in, the right one has been ground wrong so I e-mailed them...No response as yet (4 Days). A week ago I ordered Parts for this gun From Numrich including a 4-1/2 inch Barrel ,since it was the only barrel available. Today I got the package and the barrel is the wrong one, as is the retaining pin for the barrel catch.
I have it all stripped apart and ready to start the build, and can't get what I need...I'm at a standstill with this project.

Man, my experiences with Numrich from the side of a regular consumer and also someone who works in a gun store (ordering in large amounts) has not been good. I ordered a sling for my K31 through them and it didn't even come close to fitting, not to mention it had a bad case of penicillin growing on it. I sent it back and did everything I was supposed to do... 8 months later I still don't have my money back, but they sure kept the sling, too. As for dealing with them in the shop... don't bother calling to inquire. What a mess that is. Just getting prices for customers is a pain. You call one number and they say "press 2 for customer service" so you press 2 only to get a message saying you called the wrong number, call this one. You call the one they give you and you get a busy signal. It's a horror. I try to deal with Brownell's whenever possible.

I got tired of Gun Parts Corp. and their incompetence a long time ago and totally dropped them. I think they have too big an inventory and too few conscience employees to give even a passing lick at giving a damn.
