Profit...
I've been thinking a lot about mosins lately (I have contracted mosinitis) and have brought up some very interesting points. I started to think about where these rifles actually come from and who benefits. Obviously the dealer who sells it to you gets a cut of the money, as does any middleman. My question, though, is where does the dealer get them from? Who moves these rifles from the warehouses all throughout the former Soviet Union into your friendly neighborhood gun shop. For all we know, we're funding Russian nukes!
P.S-I'm not trying to discourage anyone from buying a mosin. In fact, I'm in the process of buying one myself.
Importers like CAI buys from governemnt surpluses across the seas and files the proper paperwork from the ATF and with Customs, pays his fees and sells them to your local dealer and then to you............

All the rifles from Russia for the rest of time would not make a funding impact compared to the amount of oil/diamond/mineral money America dumps into Russia on a daily basis.

I agree. Enjoy the bounty.
Those Mosins are proof we won the cold war, because the Soviet Union kept them stashed away to arm the countryside with when the Americans invaded. Turns out we didn't have to...
