Thief shot in AGeorgia! Good week.

MyFox Atlanta | Witnesses Say Victim Shoots, Kills Would-Be Robber in DeKalb Cou

Toldja I like seeing these kinds of stories.

The police are already calling it a good shooting, one of three perps died in the backyard, no charges will be filed.

Know what else really amuses me? From that neighborhood, the man defending his family is almost certainly black. That just makes it extra-awesome. No one'll play the race card on this one, defending thugs.

CCW for the win!

My brother lives in Cartersville. We need to see this all over the news with the big channels, to show that properly armed people can make a difference in a gun related crime. More proof that gun control doesn't work. An armed society is a polite society.

If we had more stories like this, not to mention every day heroes, there would be less headlines about Mall Gunners shooting innocent shoppers.

while you are right that we need more stories like this, i believe that we wont see them. the anti's will see to it that this kind of event is downplayed and then gone from the publics eye. they DO NOT want the citizens to know how an armed society will affect things for the better.

"Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it." George Santayana.

If this is true, society is doomed. Our our memories are very short these days.

This is the kind of shooting I prefer to hear about.

I agree, the good stuff gets swept under the rug to quick. I feel every house/person (adult) in the US should have a firearm. Some of you are probably thinking I'm crazy or thinking what about the thugs, well it a proven fact that the thugs are going to get guns no matter how strict the laws are. If everyone was armed like back in the wild west days. I believe our society would have more self control and respect for others and their property. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if everyone was packin a thug would more than likely think twice about robbing you if he knew there was a good chance he would be looking at the business end of a .45. As far as the media goes, they just suck! I definitely learned this since my boy has been in Iraq. They only tell you what big brother wants you to hear. Ive learned more about whats really going on over there reading and watching soldiers blogs instead of the sugar coated crap they spew on the news.
