Is the h&r altra varment rifle a good rifle

Well i just got a h&r altra varment in .243 , and i am new to varment hunting, and i was wondering if you all thought if its a good rifle for this application?

.243

.243 in a target barrel is an excellent cartridge - especially for coyotes and antelope. It might be a little much for smaller game. In a target barrel it is excellent for deer as you not only have a good cartridge but also have a gun capable of excellent bullet placement.

is an excellent little rifle and they shoot real well, i have a TC Encore in 243 and it is the most accurate rifle i have ever shot
