Thumbs up

I enjoyed viewing your fishing pictures. ...and I thought I was a fishing nut. (ha) I use a 16 ft old aluminum fishing boat with a 15 h.p. motor almost every week to fish at my favorite spot, alongside a concrete bridge pier where crappie congregate.

You have some fish I've never seen before...but trout, carp, and one that looked like bass were familiar.

Fortunately, I live only 30 minutes away from a good sized lake (Smithville Lake) and I get there during weekdays. The crazies go on weekends. (ha)

Talking

Jerry...you looking for Jack Lemon and Walter Mathow? They've got a shack out there somewhere...but they're fighting on who get's in it. Guess you've seen their movie relating to who controls the ice fishing shack.

Dang... Gather up the fishing gear honey, Irish has got me wanting to go fishing. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Jerry, your pic reminds me of my assignment to Minot, ND and the ice fishing that was so popular there.

fishing

Irish Murphy: Sir; for the most part 'carp'
are consider as trash fish. Very little pressure by our fishermen and women. Powerful and fun is what I call them.
Are the 'carp' considered the delicacy as many European, China, and Japan.
What do you do with them other than enjoy the fishing.
Cook? What is the process?

Geez davos on here too...

I reckon you guys need to come over here and get into some decent ones mate. But for freshwater fishing, the fact that you get out there and enjoy it is the most important thing. Anytime spent fishing is definitely no time wasted.

BEAUTIFUL country you got there, Irish..Love your fishing pix, and keep them coming..From what we get served on the telly, you would think Australia has crocs and brown snakes through-out the country!! And you can't swim in the ocean because of the great whites!! LOL. Get those great pix coming....

I dont fish for carp to eat them, bloody slimey bastards. They are a noxious pest here and are killed and not returned to the water. There is a bunch of nobs who do put them back. Its called the course fishing club.I had a huge arguement with them and my mate dragged me away. They are a awesome fish to catch and fight but only the wogs and asians eat them here.

I dont know brad,we can match you in freash water fishing anytime over here and probably in some coast fishing.

The TV doesnt do this country justice.Im sure there are plenty of americans who think we are all like croc dundee and steve erwin.Well some are and most of us arent. As for crocs, they live up north.Brown snakes are all over the place and very common. One of the worlds most deadly snakes too.Great white sharks do attack a lot of people over here so it is a bit of a worry swimming in the sea.But there are plenty of other things to worry about over here.Like the price of beer and smokes and fuel.
