New baby in the house.

I have newborn baby and am already planning to secure my "house-gun". I have my rifles and all but one of my handguns in a safe already. I keep my G21 on my nightstand and I know this can't go on for much longer. What is the best product for securing the gun, yet still offering access if I need it. Is the Gun Vault the way to go? I am hoping to accomplish this with less then $200 or so. Thanx for your input.

Build your own

Build your own metal or wood container/hider for your gun. It is easier than you think or you can have someone do it for less than $200.00

Welcome aboard 45ACP. I have seen some nifty gun vaults for pistols for right around $70 including digital code entry plus keyed entry. They're made so that you can bolt them down too.

Hi 45acp,
In Aus we have a trigger lock system, called the Jason lock (invented by jason!!).
It is a keyed lock that covers the trigger, disableing the gun ot rifle.

This might be an option to keep your arm secure but still next to the bed.

I would go with a digital safe near the bed...you don't want a trigger guard on a handgun you will grab during a need for it.

Chris I was thinking along the lines of your post. I had hoped someone had some specific recomendations. I can't afford to go with one of the "biometric" ones. I had looked at one by GUNVAULT. It has finger-grooved buttons so you can grab your piece in the dark. Do you know which brand of these type of products is the best? Thanx
