Rebecka you wouldn't of thought 30 years ago by the time the year 2000 got here that we would be liveing in a more dangerous enviroment as we are today, compared to 30 years ago we'll say. Depending on where you live may be.

As many here have posted a handgun affords the best tool to have if your ever in a situation where you fear for your life and the odds today are great that you could have that happen. Read your News Paper.

Hand guns come in several styles and size's and some can be easily concealed.
So which would you reather have a knife, Club,Pepper spray or a Handgun when faced with a criminal thats probably going to have a hand gun ? Will submission save your life ?

Do you think if all guns were taken away the criminal wouldn't have them either ?
Were always going to have bad evil people in the world wether we have guns or not so the best deterent is for smart people to be armed to protect there selves, family and property.

Most agree with having the right to protect ourselves. They just feel you don't have the right to do it with an assault rifle or anything that holds pretty much more then 6 rounds. That is unless you're a police officer or in the military.

Color me skeptical. But I too would like to know what or who's' site this article is for?

Not a hard question to answer, is it?

Is it for a school paper? Is it for a newspaper? Is it for a survey article? Is it for a research paper? Etc.Etc.Etc....

Rarely is anything good said about guns, that is unless it is from a pro-gun source.

Allow me to add to the paranoia stereotype attached to gun enthusiasts, but this thread seems like someone trolling to either stir up some feces, or gather ammunition for anti-gunners. It would help if the author would elaborate a little on the motive for this thread.

I think the fact that she has not responded speaks volumes to the intent. In reading the posts, I get the feeling that she did not find what she was hoping to find...blood thirsty maniacs. What she found was common sense knowledgeable people who do not want to harm anyone or see anyone harmed. Indiscriminate killing is not what we all are all about. I think that must have her very disappointed.

I'm not so sure. Listed as her homesite under her profile is a self defense website. for now I'm giving her the benifit of the doubt thinking she was doing research on self defense and never came back. I have been naive before though. Doesn't really matter though, fairly level headed thread and responses, imo.
