are there any good reasonably priced AK's out there?

I'm looking to buy an AK for a cheap (ammo) blaster . I had a norinco mak 90 a few years ago and sold it for what I paid for it to foolishly buy a gun that bancrupts you every time you shoot it . I've been looking on gunbroker and the like to see whats out there. I guess I should have kept the mak 90 as they are going for twice the price now.Can anyone help me out with some suggestions about finding an AK with the 1.5 thick reciever, heavier barrel, and the same reliability(scorched the shot bag it was resting on with no jams) for around 500 bucks? I only spent 400 on the mak90 and I'm still kicking myself for selling it. Thanks! shawn
