Knowing they will not divulge patient names and information, perhaps we can get a list of room names/numbers, bed numbers and send our cards that way?

I'm up for it.

Gonna have to get ahold of the big guys in the VFW and ladies in the Ladies Auxiliary.

There is a push to send Xmas cards just as Sucklead mentioned.

There is something on Walter Reed's website about this. Said there could be a danger to giving cards to "any soldier". I think it said the Red Cross volunteered to go through all the cards and hand deliver them. Couldn't you imagine how a soldier would feel if someone wrote something terrible in the card and it wasn't reviewed before being given to them.

HUA Bunny Wabbit,

Red cross is screening contact. 24 Dec is cut off for red cross I believe. There was FOX news did a bunch too. Earlier I posted for IL residents that Lt Gov. Pat Quin was running some up the chain. Problem is were running out of time.

Best,
Jerry

I wonder if you could just do cards for a local VA hospital. Or donate some money for a nice snack for them. Not sure how much the staff trusts people unless you know someone who works there.

From my experience Red Cross is good. The USO is excellent. Local VA's would most likely have a line as well. If you live near a base the family support center would be the folks to contact.
