Nothing wrong with the concept but just note it appears to have the same trigger as the 10/22 so I strongly advise to have some custom aftermarket items and/or gunsmithing in mind.
The more energy, travel, and lock up time you have in the trigger to ignition sequence the more you will rock the gun on the bipod.
Ruger has such a well earned reputation for combining good ideas with bad trigger quality throughout their product line.
People have been building these for years, I have shot two different ones, one was select fire. while pretty cool, I think I would spend the money on MK series pistol, or a short barreled Krinker.

I personally would rather take a regular Ruger 10/22 and get a smith to shorten the barrel, and I could saw the stock off then have it registered as a pistol. That's about all it is. But then, I don't see why I would want a pistol that isn't powerful and can't be carried easily on the body. But I have to admit; it looks very sleek and attractive.
You can't shorten the barrel of a long gun and call it a pistol. If it has ever had a stock, it MUST always have a 16"+ barrel or be registered as an SBR.
The receiver must be a "virgin" in order to be made into a pistol. Ruger never made their 10-22 into a pistol until now. Volquartzen has been doing it for years on their own virgin receivers.

In less than 2 years many folks will own one of these and some will customize them to the hilt !!! Why not
If I like it many others will love it, another winner for Ruger.
Now how much do they or will they cost ? I would like to see some synthectic stocks for this come out.
I may even be a proud owner of one in the future too..An extendable stock like on an AR would look cool... A?...I see already where this critter is going...A.H

Me? don't like it, no It looks similier to a "Star Wars' type weapon. Me! I like traditional a hand gun that looks like a hand gun, not a laser shooting thing that one can dial stunn on.
In order to put a stock on a pistol it first must be registered as an AOW (Any Other Weapon) and the tax paid thru BATFE...Otherwise it is a Violation of the Law...
And BRG3 is 100% correct...If you cut a rifle down to a pistol, it is ILLEGAL to possess...Called an SBR....
Rifle Barrels must be 16.1 inches...

I can see Ruger including some extremely prominent announcements telling people that they CAN'T cut down their 10-22s to this config and they CAN'T put 10-22 stocks on these pistols.
