Well boys and girls, I've bought so much stuff on eBay lately that I can't think of anything else i want. I know there's something I'm forgetting, ya'll got any good ideas?
Maybe buy their policies department so we can change their policies to be more gun- and gun-parts-friendly?
Personally, I've purchased 20 brass stripper clips for my MN's, two 15rd G22 mags, two G22-to-G27 magazine grip attachments, and a bunch of other non-gun-related stuff off of eBay.

quit buying on ebay, your supporting the anti's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It does seem to be more than just a business decision for legal reasons, although I'm sure part of it is a fear of being sued.
Here's a classic quote from an ebay letter: "Since the sale of weapons is highly regulated, or may cause harm to eBay or its members, sellers are restricted in their listing of them on eBay."
Well, since the majority of stuff I've bought is gun-related, I don't feel too bad about it. The seller makes more money than eBay on each transaction, so for every few cents that eBay makes, there is a guy selling gun stuff making much more (usually). I see that as actually supporting gun rights even though eBay got scared and banned certain items. I don't like it, but the fact is, gunbroker, auctionarms, and the handfull of other gun sites usually don't have what I want or need. I miss being able to buy brass and mags, but it's no different than most of the department stores from days gone by. If we all decide to shop only at stores that support gun-owners, where the he** are we supposed to shop?
Outside of the gun world, I am into racing my car at the Denver track. I just started buying "product patches" for my fireproof jacket... (only the ones of products that I use)... got one the other day for $3.50 shipped.
Maybe buy their policies department so we can change their policies to be more gun- and gun-parts-friendly?
Actually, I am glad they don't sell firearms on Ebay. There are so many cheats, hacks and damnn azzhats on there, it would severely varnish our hobby of firearms if they were allowed to run rampant on Ebay with firearm-related goods.
GunBroker, GunsAmerica...they seem to be a bit better with providing real, non-hack people wanting to do business.

I'm with toolman on his reasoning. Like I said, I buy gun stuff on there and I feel that supports gun rights by thumbing my nose at eBay.
And like GDawg (and as should be apparent from my username and avatar), I'm into classic cars and restoring my 1972 Mach1 Mustang. I've purchased about $1500 worth of parts for it off of eBay that is easily worth $3000+ if I purchased it anywhere else. This was before they put out that new policy, but it's still one of the best places to get good deals on NOS automotive parts.

i care, because some of the money they make off of your transactions make it into the anti gun coffers. i draw the line at supporting the anti gun movement.
I ain't got know problems with e bay or anybody and I've never bought anything off the net other than the 2 CZ 82's from Aim Surpluss.
Each to there own and I respect it.

I buy gun parts on ebay, You just cant buy guns or ammunition. you can still buy scopes and other accessries. Just go to aution arms or gunbrokers for the rest
You can buy everything that isn't required to fire a gun. Stocks, Scopes, and every other accessory accept triggers, firing pins, hammers, and barrels, can be bought on ebay.
I used ebay a couple of times, Although I tend to stay away from it because of all the scams and stuff that goes on there. I'll still use it in the future though. Lefty O I can agree somewhat but the problem is unless you make sure that everyone you do business with is a pro-gunner, your probably supporting an anti. Especially if you live in a big city.

As I stated earlier, GunBroker and AuctionArms usually don't have what I want, and if they do, it's ridiculously overpriced. I was as P.O'ed as anyone when eBay announced the ban on anything that directly contributes to the firing of a weapon. This came about because of the bad press from the Va. Tech shooting, not because they wanted to lose a large percentage of their business.
YOU DO HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WHEN USING EBAY AND PAYPAL. I GET EMAILS ALL THE TIME POSING AS EAY OR PAYPAL WANTING ME TO UPATE MY ACCOUNT INFO,I AUTOMATICLY SEND EBAY OR PAYPAL A LETTER REPORTING THE EMAIL BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS SPOOF MAIL.THEY WILL NOT ASK YOU FOR THAT INFO IN AN EMAIL.SO FAR IVE BEEN LUCKY.

You definitely wound up on someone's sucker list. Good thing you have more sense than they credit you with...
I'm lucky. I've dealt with ebay and gunbroker off and on for several years, and never had that problem.
I've sold a couple comps on ebay, my old mac and laptops. I gotta say at least with electrical stuff you do have to be careful. False bids then when they win they send fake paypal emails to you saying they paid and your supposed to ship. I never ship until its cleared an in my bank account. I haven't been fooled by them but baldeagle is right head warning. There are people in other countries who make thier living off of ebay scams.
