Favorite Christmas Music

Locally there is a music station that is playing nothing but Christmas music.

I find it hard to turn the radio off when Bing Crosby is singing.

Also..does anyone know who sings "I know it's been said many time, many ways, Merry Christmas to you."

If I`m in a store and I hear " its begining to look a lot like xmas " it`s in my fool head for a month..

I listen to a hit`s and memories craptacular radio station at work in the truck, they`ve played all these xmas songs by contempary artists.

I`ve been like: YEAH!?! thats Hall and Oates?? or whatever.

I am not sure who does the particular rendition to which you refer, Chris, but I have always loved Bing Crosby's version of "White Christmas". It always brings up childhood memories from when we used to put on that LP.

This evening I am going to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra in concert in Raleigh.

Using the words "favorite" and "Christmas music" in the same sentence is kind of an oxymoron to me; by the time the season's over I'm usually teetering on shooting myself to get the music out of my head.

Thumbs up

Here it is! Check out the link below of Nat King Cole singing "A Christmas Song."

Ah... Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole... I will never forget those days of simple sledding and hot chocolate...

I loved my childhood and am glad I don't have to grow up in this messed up world.

I hope to provide those memories to my current love's children... kids need that these days. Take them back to basics of when we lived our lives and there were no IPods or video games.

GDAWG, I enjoyed my childhood too. But, take today's children back to an era with no Ipods or Video games? You would have to drag them kicking and screaming. Also by age 10 I was out hunting with a .22 rifle. I can't imagine turning one of my 10 year old grandchildren loose with a loaded .22 rifle!LOL Hope youall have a great Christmas season.

My #1 favorite has to be "Carol of the Bells" as done by a children's choir, as is done in the first Home Alone movie.

#2 is Trans-Siberian Orchestra doing "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24", which contains "Carol of the Bells".

A friend sent this to me the other day and I really enjoyed it. They certainly aren't Bing Crosby or the incomparable Mr. Cole, but it sure was enjoyable and made me smile. Hope you all enjoy it! Merry Christmas!

Bing MFin' Crosby for the win!

"Christmas in Killarney" rocks.

This here: Amazon.com: White Christmas: Music: Bing Crosby Amazon.com: White Christmas: Music: Bing Crosby
Favourite Christmas album.

I'm also partial to "Carol of the Bells" by Leontovych. Then again, I'm big on minor keys.

- Coeloptera

(No, I'm not being sarcastic about Crosby, either. I'm classically trained, and I appreciate good singers.)
