Thanks Jerry. The pictures and info are sobering...and something that everyone needs to think about every time they get behind a wheel.

That sucks. I get scared of dying in an accident all the time. But I guess you can't live your life that way. You just have to drive carefully and try to watch out for the other guy.

Great post Jerry! When I was in high school, my drivers ed teacher wouldn't even let us put the keys in the ignition until we were buckled in. I'm grateful to him for doing that because it made it habit. Years later, I still buckle up before I even put the keys in the ignition. Everyone, have a very merry Christmas and PLEASE DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE! "BUZZED" DRIVING IS DRUNK DRIVING!

Jerry...excellent reminder for us with the holiday coming when a lot of us will be on the road.

That film would have been an excellent for my driver's educ. students years ago when I worked with 15-17 year old students trying to make them safety conscious.

No matter what our ages, we all need to be safety conscious 100% of the time we're behind the wheel. Other's lives depend upon how well we concentrate on our driving, regardless of other drivers with cell phones on their ears, CD's blaring, and other distractions happening inside their vehicles.

Pfft! 7/10ths of a second. I bet I could beat that!

If you can get a bullet into the medulla oblongata or possibly a stiletto, I'll bet you could shut down autonomic activity quicker than that.

Hmm...maybe a fall from an airplane? The impact with the ground should be able to beat that time...

Nuclear detonation? Depends how close you are to the epicenter...
