Many of the 5 round mags are cut down from 30 rounders...why? I have no idea. The 30's had an extra magazine lock "tit" on the side for the extended leg of the M2 magazine catch to latch on to.This helped to keep the heavier 30 rounder from working loose and falling out of the magazine well. 30's may have problems with the M1 magazine latch due to it not having the extended leg and it's inability to hold the extra weight of the larger magazine. For some reason the latching "tits" on the Fulton mags are just a hair too long and don't allow the M2 latch to seat properly. It doesn't really matter since the 5 round mag is so light and chances of it working loose is slim. I mention this because the 2 5-round mags I purchased from Fulton had this situation. Like I said, it's not really a big dea. I just like the mag latch to do it's job whether or not it's necessary. a quirk, maybe?
The ten rounder's, I believe, are little more than blocked 15's and do not have the extra latching "tits"; I have no 10 round mags, only 5, 15, and 30.
This only applies to the M2 magazine catch.
