My soon to be ex got me a $50 gift card to Bass Pro shops, even though she knows Cabellas is my second home and she works next door to it. Part of the reason she's ex.
My knew concubinal interest got me a beutiful walnut gun case, a personal dvd player, "Silverado" and "The Quick and the Dead" dvd's, an autographed copy of "The Greatest Team Ever"(a must for Cowboy fans), the new Tony Romo history book, Maddens 2008 official NFL guide, a camo stocking and pj's, some really good lovin' and a gift card to Cabelas. All without any hints from me. I also seem to have found a new family through her. Very cool.
Oh, yeah, my incarcerated son told me I'm probably going to be a grandpaw. Every silver lining has a dark cloud.

Apart from the usual gift cards and clothing, I got two gifts that I really like, and one I wasn't even expecting.

The first was a I-pod nano, which should be nice. Save me a lot of scratched CD's. The second was a Weatherby Vanguard SS in 300 WM. I did not see this coming, it was a token of appreciation for taking a couple of people pheasant hunting who hadn't been in a few years. They had a blast, and we saw/got a lot of birds.

Cool. What kind of helicopter did you get? I got a LamaV4 from the wife. I had an airplane for a little while but gave it to my dad. There just isn't anywhere with enough room close enough to me to fly it.

Nice looking 10/22 there KP90DC!!! I am a bit jealous!

we have lots of room but still crash them a lot. It's a just a venom night ranger 3D its an electric. it is about my 4th larger one. we have crashed many airplains, choppers and boats. the most fun is those little ones for indoors we buy then and fly them until they break but at 20 bucks a peice that isnt so bad.

Back when I read meters for a living, I ran into a guy in Perris, CA who built scale model, remote-control airplanes in his garage. But it was on a whole different level; some of his stuff had ten or twelve-foot wingspans.

Cool. The Lama I got isn't as big as a Night Ranger. I would like to get something like that eventually though. The little indoor ones are a blast aren't they! I got one a while back and flew that thing til it wouldn't fly no more! Simple too! My little bro just got one and has no problem flying it at 9 years old.

Troy2000:
I love to go out to the RC field down here and watch some of these guys fly those huge scale planes and choppers. Amazing isn't it? My old man and I built an RC glider years ago with an 8-foot wing span. What a blast! I was too young at the time to try and fly something that advanced but it sure was cool! I have always loved anything remote control. I have an RC stadium truck and an RC rock crawler right now that I just finished building not too long ago. You would be amazed at some of the stuff a 4x4 truck with a 12.5 inch wheelbase can climb over!

Folks, I gotta tell you, I got something I never dreamed of. I thought I was going to be by myself this Christmas, and was I ever surprised. I found the forums by accident, or sheer good fortune, and had a bunch of you in my home for the holiday. Couldn't ask for more, and I really appreciate the company during what could have been a very lonely time. Thank you all so very much, and have a safe, Happy New Year!I hope to meet lots of you in the future, in person, not just on the 'net. Ya'll take care! Scotty

Five months ago, my psycho biatch from H E LL wife went off to live with the latest internet romance she developed. Since then I have moved on with life. I have been asked out by several women, even went out several times with different gals. One relationship lasted three weeks before we had to call things off. She was a liberal Catholic who loves Hillary Clinton and I am a conservative Protestant who thinks that Hillary is pretty close to being The Anti-Christ (a little humor, but the sentiment is there).

A week later, I met a single mom who has a four year old. I have pretty much been adopted by her entire family. She and I are getting along famously. Her boy seems to think the world of me and I of him. All I ever wanted for Christmas (or any time, for that matter) came to me this holiday season.
