UK: Fewer armed police as crime soars

Ministers have been accused of "complacency" for letting armed police numbers fall while gun crime has been soaring. The drop has been most pronounced in "hotspot" areas which have seen the biggest rises in offences, according to figures obtained by the Tories.

Okay, I'm glad I went and read the story. It makes more sense now. The "ministers" are British politicians, not preachers. More like our members of the House or Senate. Geeze, for a minute there, I wondered what was going on. Our ministers have never taken the tack of increasing armed police. Although, we've had a couple of preachers with CCW's here in Oklahoma this past year that have shot people.
