You can't go wrong with your choice. I have a 10-22 in blued and wood format.
Great shooter for the money.

I've actually had this gun for a few months now and couldn't be happier with it. I think the heavier bull barrel makes it a little heavy and awkward for anything besides bench shooting ( at least after a while it becomes that way) but thats what I bought it for anyways. Heres a picture of it so far with the Mueller scope.

The Ruger .920 barrels are hammer forged. To get the best out of these you can have a new chamber cut and recrown the muzzle, about $100. Get more info at rimfirecentral.com.

The picture that Jashoffa posted is the same rifle I bought a couple of years ago. On the top of the barrel it reads Hammer Forged. I am vey pleased with mine. My rifle shoots the cci the best. Buying one of these rifles built this way helps with not having to buy alot of after market parts. But there are some things you can do to upgrade. I have been very happy with mine, staying the way it came from the factory. Bigman

Or you can spend some money and really build a truly custom classic 10/22.

I"ve had mine several years and it is accurate and has a good trigger, but I get tired of the jamming. Doesnt seem to matter the brand of ammo [dont do the expensive stuff] or frequentcy of cleaning or the mags. I just purchased a Savage mk II youth model left hand for my 9 yr old grandson and put a little red dot scope on it. He says [sweet gun] grandpa. Thinking about going this way myself, love that accutrigger. Tips or offers on the 10/22?

NY Marksman,

Man, I love the stock on your Ruger, it's gorgeous.

Who makes that stock?

great guns, all of the ruger 10/22s are great guns. only draw back is the trigger pull being to much, easily and cheaply fixed with a new trigger asembaly upgrade though.
