While I'm waiting on my newsed RC II press to arrive, I've been looking at accessories and such for it. I found the auto-primer attachment, but I've heard lots of cons on them. I normally use my Lee Auto-Prime hand-primer so my question is, is it worth the time and expense to buy and install the RCBS Auto-Primer, or just stick with what I've done for the last 5-6 years?
If I am loading a box or a tray of 50 rifle bullets, then I use the primer feed on my Lyman Press. If I am loading 500 to 1000 cases, I use the Lee Hand primer while I'm watchin TV ....prime em all first...

I use a bench-mounted RCBS priming tool for my reloads now (easier on my thumb) but the Lee hand primer was a favorite of mine back in the day. I do not use a press-mounted primer as none seem to work as well as my 20-yr-old RCBS.
I use the screw in die type RCBS on the spare press set up. I like the downward motion of the handle and the ability to set the depth consistantly. Mabe not the best method but works well for me.
I thought about the hand prime units, but I load downstairs to get away from it all.

I have used the one that came with the LEE anavesary kit, that goes on the press. I prefer to use the handheld Lee auto prime. It's quicker and I get a better "feel" for seating the primers.
