Thumbs down Do NOT deal with popguns.com

Popguns Shooting Sports Accessory Superstore.

I bought two plastic padded pistol cases from these people.
Paid $25 shipped for them....paid instantly via paypal on 23 Dec '07.
Had to email them on 01 Jan '08 asking where the cases were.

The same day they emailed me back saying they noticed one of them had been damaged....they were getting more on 03 Jan '08 and would ship immediately.

It is now the 12th of Jan '08 and stll no cases...had to file a claim with paypal.

Popguns.com (aka mike greenfield industries) has ignored 5 other emails only responding to my 1st one on 01 Jan '08.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.....

I find it amazing that people don't do the simple things that keep customers happy. Now, what if they had emailed you back again and explained what the problem was and what they were doing about it? Even if they said, 'hey, we screwed up......if you can wait your order will ship soon if not we will refund your money..." you probably would not be posting this. Honesty and communication goes a long way.

It seems like some companies still haven't figured out the power of word of mouth on the internet. Especially when it comes to gun boards.

Its happening all the time it seems. There is a seller on australian egay who sells a lot of reloading equipment/supplies.But sometimes he does the same thing. My mate 460 has been stung by him.The seller is called 17ackley.Matt460 bought a scope mount for his no4 and paid the same day.The seller has said 460 didnt pay but 460 has a bank statement saying he has paid and this was early in november.Egay arent helping very much and i think 460 have involved consumer affairs.

Don't worry I want use them or Sportsmans Guide either. I bought a pr of boots from the guide called the Phanthom.
They look like really great hunting boots LOL well every time I take a step creek, crunch, Hiss and POP !!!
And they are thick like pack boots and looks like something Frankinstien would wear !!! They don't look like that in the catalog.
I had to use them Deer season so thats why I didn't send them back.

Sounds like dealing with a mule. First thing you do is whack him between the eyes with a 2x4. Then, having gotten his attention...

I still remember ordering a sword from allblackbelt.com. I'd suggest never dealing with these guys, except that they aren't around anymore, I think. The sword never came, though my card was still charged for it. I even tried calling, and they did the "let's put him on hold until he hangs up" deal... after about 30 minutes, I heard one of them say, "dude, he's still waiting?" Then they told me that the one who could check on my sword wasn't in that day.

A few days later, I put in a fraud claim at my bank and got the money back immediately.

Glad to hear they made good on the order and that they got rid of the "problem employee". I still doubt that I would do business with them since they didn't respond until they realized that they were going to be hung out to dry. Seems like a "too little, too late" situation to me. But I'm glad you got your order and the "freebie" is nice, too.

The ball was dropped with the failure to respond to the e-mails and not immediately informing you when they noticed the damaged product.
That is inexcusable customer service.
I am always reinterating how important customer communication is. It is not unusual for me to be up
past midnight answering e-mails.
That being said we must not forget that every one
has bad days and might not be up to par for 1 reason or another.
I will be showing this thread to all of my customer service reps tomorrow morning.
Every one of my people know that they would have been fired on the spot if they EVER handled one of our customers like that!!
Anyway I just wanted to let you know that there are still some of us dealers out there that know we
exist because of all of you!!

Thanks,
Mark @
