Hello All:

I am new to these forums and this is my first post. I recently acquired a Bulgarian Arsenal SLR-95 "brand new". I do mean never shot by "brand new" as the gun was only exported to the US from 1994 to 1998. I have heard this is a very desirable rifle. It has the Steyr barrel with suppressor on the end, milled receiver and thumb hole "Clinton" stock. I also received all of the items listed below in the deal:

480 rounds older "white box" Wolf HP ammo

1 - 75 round Norinco Drum - new
3 - 30 round Bulgarian Mags - new
2 - 5 round Bulgarian Mags
1 - new Bulgarian simple military AK sling

Huge Pelican Hard Shell case on wheels with custom cuts in the interior foam to fit the rifle, mags, drum, cleaning kit/rod and the ammo.

I gave $895.00 for the whole kit. Was this a good deal?

I have a Romanian WASR-10 HI-CAP that I have done alot of work on to make it tactical and it has been alot of fun and very reliable, but when I took the Arsenal to the range yesterday and clipped in the 75 round drum I knew I was on a whole different level of rifle. The Arsenal was very accurate with the irons out to 110 yards, as far as that range goes. Everything about the rifle is quality and I am very happy with it from that point and was just wanting some unbiased opinions on what I got for the money. Any input is appreciated.

I'm wanting to think that gun is worth somewhere around $550-$600. Or at least thats what I just saw 4 of them for sale for. I'd say the ammo is worth around $85, as you can buy 1000 rounds of Wolf Military stuff for $170. A 75 round Romanian drum costs around $120. The 5 rounders and sling are not worth much, and the other 3 30 rounders are worth about $75. That right there is about $850 worth of stuff. I don't know how much the case is worth. You didn't get ripped a new one anyways.

Looks like a pretty good deal with all accessories. Now if it came with a grenade launcher
and not one of those original ones, i would of said great deal. You did just fine. Although no grenades can be purchased i believe you can find some of those there flares or bird bombs or maybe a smoke bomb or two to launch those bad boys just for fun of it. I have seen prices anywhere from $300.00- $1,200.00. And yep that low price one looked like someone used it for a nine iron. And your accessories especially the case brings you in a little more than what you paid Hey good luck with that fine shooter.

Actually, the Romanian drums are going for $120, the Chinese drums that flip open in the back to load and then wind-up are going for around $200.

You got a good deal and the Arsenal AK's are some of the finer AK's out there.

The Norinco drum is great and super easy to load. Has the spring tensioner release button in the middle to release any extra tension on the srping from the previous load, push that in and spin it three times clockwise to move the feeder guide and spider into its proper loading position, drop in 75 rounds, close the lid and latch and wind it three full turns clockwise and it is ready to rock! It is a little too easy to load though...LOL. Too easy to go through the ammo and I have to stay on my ammo budget or the wife will have my hide...

yea getting the Norinco 75 rounder in the deal makes it worth it...ive seem em for around $200
