Problems fitting stock

Hi all-I posted before about my #4 MK1 stock bands not fitting around the forearm and handguards. After much trial and error, I finally managed to post a few pics. I don't know if the gap underneath the handguards where they butt together is the problem, but frankly, I'm at my wit's end.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Looking at the photos . I'd say the front handguard is out of whack.
It looks unusually too large and will definately give you trouble.
That squared gap where the handguards meet is supposed to be there.
IMHO , you should try another front handguard

Thanks for the reply Timberlord,
Is it unusual for the front handguard to be so different? I was under the impression that #4 MK 1 timber was "one size fits all", or so the seller on Ebay assured me. Is there any way that I could sand down the edges so that it would fit? If the wood is incorrect to begin with, I don't care if I mess it up.
Thanks again-wrong wood or not, this rifle looks SO much better than it did before! (Bubba be damned!!)
