Range finder

I would like to know what range finder you guys think is the best for $700. or $800. Im leaning real heavely towards the Leica 1200? would like to be able to range out to 1000 yards. so in your opinion what range finder does the best job?

In watching the Gun and Ammo show as well as a few of the other gun shows on the outdoor channel, the newer Leupold range finder is supposedly top notch. But then, those shows are paid sponsors? I guess it even give accurate ranges for elevated and angled shots. I don't remember the exact model, but I'm sure it would be easy enough to find with a little research.
Such as this one. Leupold Digital RX-IV Laser Rangefinder FREE UPS 61470 61475 inclinometer range finders Leupold RX-4 rangfinders Only an example.

friend of mine let me use his leupold range finder. I took it out while doing my routine walk, it appeared to work okay approx 50 ft. to about 500 yards after that I couldn't range in on a tree/ bolder beyond 500yards with out getting several different readings????? I believe it was the top of the line model that leupold makes.who knows I will have to admit I'm not that savy on digital equiptment???thanks for your input tho

I have also been looking for a 1000 yard finder. I have not found any that will focus on a tree or deer at that distance. I am disipointed in my search. If you find a good one, post it please.
