Looks interesting for 200 bones NIB. Anyone own or shot one of these?

It sounds like a good gun for the price. At least for a plinking pistol.

Actually it looks like it is just a single barrel. While I think it is interesting, I would only buy it if I could find it in pretty good condition used for about half that price.

It is a bit pricy, that is for a single barrel, single shot pistol. Lookes good though!

Looks like the old Rexio brand. Piece of trash if a Rexio design.

Yes,,,I know this -was- an old thread, but I am going to revive it! lol
Super Comanches do in fact look rough in person, but with a little time, just a little more money, reloaded ammo made from 444 Mrlin cases ( So I was told ) they can be a poor boys contender. (Although, only a low power one)

Intall Pachmyer rubber grips, refinish the metal work yourself, work up some good handloads, and install a red dot sight or pistol scope and they are really not too bad.

In bone stock form, the do stink past 7 yards.

My turn to bring this one back.

I got mine back in the summer of 08. It lacks smooth lines, has machining marks all over, and is about 32% more ugly than a GLOCK. That last sentence makes me wonder if that poster owns and or shoots one. I use mine on game out to 20-25 yards max and have put alot of game in the freezer and in my belly with it. 410 slugs are just too accurate from it to limit it to 25 yards and larger vermin like coyotes just hate that pistol with Rem 2.5" slugs. At 25 yards it can put a full box of 5 into one hole about .75" TOTAL group size. If I were to cheat it would be more like .30" CTC. Buckshot keeps a killing pattern to 25 yards from it. Winchester 5 pellet OOO buck patterns better than their 3 pellet and the Federal 4 pellet OOO buck is even better.

Oh, I almost forgot the 45LC part..... While it can not shoot +P 45s, I have watched my dad for a time period of forever use Remington lead SWC 225 standard pressure loads into way too many deer to even think such a round (the +P) would even need to be considered for killing a deer. I have two boxes of 45LC PDX1 225s that hit 850fps from a 3". I gather it will be faster from my 10" no gap barrel.....

Would like it better if it were .454 Casull...then you would have 3 rounds you could shoot out of it

While it may not handle +P ammo, the RCBS 45-270-SAA over 7.5gr of Titegroup only generates 14,000 psi while producing 950 fps from a 4" revolver barrel. You should be well over 1000 fps from a 10" closed breach single shot. A 270gr bullet at 1000 fps is nothing to sneeze at, assuming it's accurate. I'd be kinda curious how a straight-wall .444 Marlin case loaded with a 370-395gr bullet over a case full of Triple Seven might work. Maybe some blackpowder shooters would know.
Oh, MCA makes 10" barrel inserts for a .410 that will convert the pistol to .22 LR and .22 Magnum (with a firing pin plunger/adapter) or also .218 Bee and .22 Hornet.

I just picked one up yesterday, and so far so good.
It's a potload of fun to shoot even with the tough trigger (which I hope lightens up a bit with use.)
Where can I find accessories, scope mounts, etc for it?

Hi guys, I was doing a search and ran across this thread. So here is my $.02 worth.

I have one of the 45/410 Super Comanche single shot pistols. I think I paid $135ish new several years ago with the thought of just shooting 410s in it. While we were out blasting pop cans with 410s, I tried some mild 265 SWC 45 Colt loads and it really surprised me with how well it shot.
I'll have to see if I can find the target, but I think it was under 2" at 50yds.
It would definatly serve as a 100yd Deer hammer if you only had $150-180 to spend and wanted a single shot pistol.

With warm loads, the rubber forend would pull off under recoil. A small washer under the screw fixed that.

I took a chamber cast just to see what it looked like inside. If I had seen the chamber cast first, I would have thought shooting 45 Colts would be a huge waste of time.
The chamber was long enough to fit a 454 Casull and lock up without any problems. After that it had a long tapered section maybe 2" + that went from .452"ish down to .448"(or smaller, I'll have to see if I can find my notes. Memory isn't cooperating tonight),
then the rifleing was way undersized also with the groove diameter of .448"ish.(again all this is from memory, so don't quote me on the measurements)
With all of that stuff wrong with it, it still shot very well.
The chamber and forcing cone area were very rough, but the rifled barrel looked very nice.
The chamber is not long enough to take a 444 Marlin case. It is just long enough for a 454 case to fit, but PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO FIRE A 454 CASULL IN IT!!!

I did email the company to tell them the chamber was long enough to fit a 454. I bought mine several years ago, and don't know if they changed anything since then.

I have seen them in 22lr and 22mag. They did have a scope mount for a short while, I found 2 of them on Ebay. They are just a rough and ugly as the gun is. I haven't mounted a scope on one yet, life has been too busy.

When I emailed the company, I told them how well it shot with the 45 Colt ammo and suggested that if they put a little more detail into makeing a smooth chamber that they might become a very popular single shot pistol. Not just a short 410 shotgun.
I think one chambered in 357 Mag would sell well also.

I found one site that had spare parts for sale and tried to order a barrel and all the other stuff to go with it. The barrel looks like the rear is a cast Mono-Block with the rifled barrel part screwed in. So I was thinking if I could get a spare barrel, I could try to take it apart and machine other barrels to screw into the monoblock.

My order came with all of the small parts, but the barrel was on back order. I checked back with them every couple months for a couple years, but had no luck.

I'd better end this before I have a book here.
