Weatherby rebarrel

I am wanting to build a wildcat using a 300 weatherby action and a standard cal. weatherby barrel. Will the barrel fit in the action without modification. Thanks

More info please

Weatherby has had and still has more than one action design. You will need specific information as to the type action you have and the barrel you wish to attach. I suggest you talk this over with a competent gunsmith before making any purchases. Otherwise, you may wind up with non-fit components and/or a really expensive machining bill.

Weatherby rebarrel

You make excellent points. Sort of figured that there might be a possible problem getting the pair to fit without much smithing other than rechamber and headspacing.
Thanks for the advice.
