TXpit: Sir; I don't know what part of the country your in. This weekend; at Charlotte; you would be able to look at 3-4 with one; unless they sold;
a "BRAND" new; and I do mean BRAND new with box all paperwork, the string tag still in place on trigger guard. Of course my drool marks. $499.00? I believe the price.

No new ones, as they've been discontinued for quite a few years. But occasionally, one can be found in really excellent condition. The collector market has discovered them though, so be willing to pay . . .
Found both mine in a local Gun&Pawn - $150 each.
Apache Black - fair to good outside, excellent shooter.
Mohawk brown - Excellent exterior, but has minor feeding issues.
When I was down in Cherryville, NC a month ago, the pawnshop in the next town northwest of there, which is also a gunshop/gunsmith, had a Nylon 66 in stock for I think $200. I think the place is called "Great All American Pawn" or something like that.
I picked up one at a Gunshow a while back. I have a round $200 in it. It is the brown one. Really cool little rifles. I don't know why the discontinued them.
By the way, does anyone know where the serial number is on them?

Old classics found NIB ('New In Box') are indeed a real treat! The original box and paperwork can be fully half the value of the whole package!
Question is . . . "wouldja shoot the thang!?"
I just can't see having a gun I'd be afraid to shoot . . .
Neophyte, there is a Yahoo group dedicated to the Nylon 66 rifles. You might find it of interest!
They are great little rifles. Light and handy, and still very cool looking. They were really ahead of the trend stylewise.
I'd like to see Big Green bring it back. Supposedly, they killed it because the original machinery wore out - they sold the stuff to a Brazilian company which produced them for awhile under different names.
