Go to this site just to see whats available and the ball park prices.
You'll find just about every scope made and you can read the details about them.
I bought a Burris from them and received excellent service.
SWFA is the site...A.H

EDIT...The Mueller 8.5-25 X50 Erraticator in matte or silver is $229.00 at swfa

To me, thye best you can get is a Leupold Varmint scope. High powered, like 6-18 power. Leupold came out with the varminter reticule to compensate wind drift and bullet drop.

Read this, it gives you some options
Recommended Riflescopes
I went with the Bushnell Elite 4200 as my most recent purchase because of the unbelievable "rainguard" technology. I hunt alot in adverse weather conditions (cold, wet, snow, etc) so it was important to me. I would have never believed that the anti-fog would work so well!

Check this out too.. notice what optics they are using!

Leopold and Zeiss optics are premium brand... but what do you actually get over Millett scopes? Hey... I'm open to debate and further education... but I really do not see anything tangible over Millett optics yet...

i bought a mueller 8.5-25 X50 Erraticator a few weeks ago and i am going to buy another!
best scope ive seen for the price and actually i thought comparable to the leupold 6.5x20 for a little over 1/3rd the price.
