Sighting in a Remington 521-T .22

First off, sorry if this has already been talked about. This is my first post, I tried searching for an answer, but not sure I used the search feature correctly.

I own said rifle above. It comes with factory Lyman peep sight. There are 3 adjustments on this up,down and left, right. These are normal kind of dials.

However the third is a range adjustment.
The lowest marker is on this is 50ft. There is no other typed info on the site, just the line marks. So I really don't know what the Max range setting on the site is.
Anyone that understands what I am talking about and has an answer is appreciated.

I know they are yardage adjustments but I don't know how much each is set for. I suggest when you go out to the range sight in at 50 ft go two clicks and try 50 yrds (150 ft) maybe each click is 50 ft. maybe set for some other yardage. I have been out of comp. shooting for many decades and don't remember a lot about the sights.

The accuracy of the markings will also depend on the front sight. My 521-T had a bubba'd front sight - looked like some kind of aluminum sleeved 'carbine' style, with the blade ground down. I replaced that POS with a globe sight from an online source. I believe it's lower than should be, so the rear sight markings don't apply. It's still a great shooter though.
For even better performance, you can install the better trigger parts from the 511T.
