I remember when I posed the question "Why a Mosin?". I could not understand what the fascination was. Tch, Tch. I read the responses with gusto. Sometimes I wish I hadn't. It infected me with Mosinitis. I guess I was looking for someone to convince me. Now I own two M44s and one 91/30 and am looking for an M38 preferably a Finn. Scary to think what is going to happen when my C&R comes in. I remember I chuckled when one or the other said they read the thread and ran to their gun safe to hug their Mosin. Oh the humor in it. I keep finding myself stopping what I am doing and going to my basement to my gun safe and playing with my Mosins. LOL! And then there is my Swiss K31. Same thing. I fondle my Mosins then switch to my Swiss. I think I need another one of those too!
Oh how far things have come. The only remorse I feel is that I paid a little too much for the m44s but like I keep saying at least they cleaned and checked them for me. So I guess piece of mind is OK with me. Now...when is that dang C&R gonna come!!

My C&R took 4 months to come to me! Better start looking at Mausers. German and Swede, Spanish and Turk. We are switching from a queen to a king matress, just because the WAR DEPARTMENT wants to sleep wth me and my Mosin's! The nerve! Finns make a M39! In my estimation, the finest Mosin ever made... I have aSwede M96, anda M38, 6.5x55mm. Probably the prettiest, and most ACCURATE Mausers ever made! Now that will stir the pot! If'n you aint got one, then HESH!
Your comments are pure speculation! What does Billy say? Now rope that pig and share a smoke with him in your house?

Well, Tex, my friend, it's too late for you. Sorry we got you infected. The key is to try and space your mosin purchases out, or you will be going on a buying frenzy. In other words, the more you buy, the more you'll want. Good luck with your new addiction....

Tex; Reading your post bought back some chuckles for me..yeah I have mosinitis also M44(bought 2 of those one for daughter ) 91x30,M38 ,91x30 hex 1927 ex dragoon,Type 53 chinese..now need a model 91..Wife asked me how many guns I needed, I replied did you see all that ammo??
Marion that is one of the best responses to wife questions I have heard in a long time. Last night my wife started complaining about "all the money" I was spending on guns and shooting. She asked me how many thousands I had spent on the guns I bought. My response was truthful and sure stopped the disagreement. I said "about half of what you spent on that Maltese puppy you bought before Christmas. Plus, I left a Shotgun News Laying around for her to see the prices.
Now I can truly say that MOSINS got me out of an argument with out having to fire a shot! She even suggested I take some of our tax refund and buy another one!

I for one do not cry. My eyes just water when I get emotional. Like when the buck toothed little fink in front of me buys the rifle I was about to buy. I should have never put it back down.

there are two gunstores that i go to around here.
those guys are REALLY nice to me!
$800 impulse buys will do that ...............
LOL!! That was me last year! One savage 99 and a remington 700 adl. Bought the remington "for the scope" and planned to sell the rifle. Well, even with it being synthetic stocked and in makes my 5th 30-06 I still have that thing in my gun safe. Set up too well to sell I guess.
10 minutes away from leaving for the airport and the last thing I do before I kiss the spouse goodbye? Hugged my Mosins. LOL!

Reason: Automerged Doublepost
Yeah... I had to go fondle both my 91/30 and my AES-10 (AK-variant) last night. I was walking passed the safe to the laundry room and heard them calling out.

No, usually, I work the actions and dry-fire them a bit. I just like to hear them talk to me when they go "Ka-Clack!" on the AES-10 or the sound of the bolt rolling through it's action on the mosin.
It's like sweet nuthin's to me.
