What's with all the freakin snow?????

Supposed to get another 5" starting at midnight. Got a 1/2" yesterday. And it was 68 degrees the day before that that finally melted all the stuff that had come before that.

No wonder I have a sinus infection.

Stupid weather.

Bunny, we had two days of almost spring like weather, and then the wind shifted, and it dropped like thirty degrees in an hour. Then we got some snow flurries, and this morning, everything was froze solid again! We're supposed to get snow tonight, and I'm wondering who messed the weather schedule up so darned bad! You are right, the weather IS stupid!

I didn't even need to wear a coat two days ago. This is just wrong. Glad I got a 4wd or I'd never get out of my driveway.

I know the weather patterns are very weird, but in the last days in which we live the weather and patterns are said to be unpredictable, not being able to tell season from season

In Maine...I look out my window right now and see some patches of bare grass...

It rained today, but we've had many days of sub-zero temps and many days of 12"+ snow.

It's been a very bizarre winter.

Im with lefty. When I got home last night, the wind chill was 40 below. I wish it was warm enough out that it could snow. Its about 7 below right now, but there is a fairly good wind.

The weather pattern sure isn't the same as when I was a kid. When it was winter, it was winter, when it was spring, it was spring, etc.etc..

It was the same here in IL., hit 49 by 2pm or so on Tuesday (yesterday) and by 7a.m. the next day, it was like -24 below ZERO! BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. And the wind blows right through ya'. Well it does me anyhow. lol

I'm not saying I believe in all the green gas, hole in the ozone or the global warming things, but something is up and something had to have caused the changes to our what use to be normal weather patterns. Some areas that don't get tornadoes get them and some places that do, are getting them well out of the normal season for them. I'm not saying either of the 2 things I mentioned aren't happening or they are. I'm not saying they did or didn't or are or aren't the cause of anything. Just saying something has happened. Don't want to step on any toes. lol

Speaking of weather we just had a whole years worth of weather in 1 and a half hours last night We had high winds, rain, hail, snow, and a tornado. and the temperature went from 40 degrees to 14 in about 5 hours. talk about screwy.

I won't give you too hard of a time. When KU chokes, it's usually in the tournament when it matters most.

Did you get more than a 1/2" of snow yesterday?

Thumbs up

In Gladstone, MO, where I live, we got about three inches of new snow. The sun's shining today and the temp. is around 33 F now. The sun shines before the storm it seems...I can't wait to shovel more of the stuff. (ha)

I graduated from KSU in '60. Go Cats! But...when they aren't playing KU I cheer like hexx for the Hawks, too.

I had a teacher back in High School, she claimed that every 1000 years the polar's shift and it takes several years before it stabilizes. And that from her research when this happens is when everyone starts talking about the end of the world and everything bad in the world. Now Im not saying she was a expert on the topic seems like someone else would know this and have published it if it was completly true. But after hearing this around 92-93. It does seem to make sense to me.

As far as Indiana goes I'll take responsibility for that. The last time I got knocked down in my life and had trouble getting up and was forced to move in with my grandma we got a few feet of snow shortly after. Well guess what Im back at grandma's and last night was no fun. Especially figuring the I had just dropped the boy off at the ex's and she just bought a trailor. Needless to say I was calling quiet a bit last night.

For what it's worth, after watching the History Channel last week, and their presentation on the Mayan Civilization, some people would say the Maya's obsession on "time" would give us the answers regarding our unusual weather patterns recently.

A hyroglyphic's expert, around 1900, was able to decode the markings on most of their ruins, which were found inside and outside of centuries old rocks used in the building of those alters and pyramids.

It seems that after centuries of study the Maya's "designated spirtual leaders" determined they could count on things to happen when certain stars were in the correct allignment. According to the History's Channel's commentators, the Mayan's knowledge was correct, regarding an amazing amount of astrology happenings.

Among their findings, using the stars as a guide, was a prediction that in 2012 something really "bad" was gonna happen to the Mayan's...or the world as they knew it.

I won't hold my breath waiting to find out, though. I plan to carry on with business as usual.

It sure is cold, though, and it seems it teases with a day or two of sunshine, and then boom, here it goes again!! Come on spring!!!
