Thanks!

yep, your right. The AK is pretty much a junky combat rifle. You cant expect much from them. They are fun to shoot up cans and stuff with though. Your gonna have to spend money on it to tighten it up and replace with a high quality barrel.

Depends on the ak. Mine is an sas-7 underfolder from arsenal. It has a reciever milled from steel. The barrel is chrome lined and hammer forged on machinery purchased from steyr. The imported parts were brand new, never put on a carbine. So, no, not all ak's are "junky combat rifle(s)." The biggest problem ak shooters have is a mindset to get the cheapest ammo they can. So, they get what they pay for. I'm also seeing this with some of the ar guys too. I handload. I'll leave the steel case stuff for others.

AK Accuracy depends on the ammo and the shooter. I suspect that most people who be-moan the WSAR 10 as a bad rifle simply are not zeroing the weapon correctly. I get so-so accuracy with cheep wolf ammo, my groops get better the more I spend on ammo. But to compare any AK to any AR-15 is not a fair comparison. If by "junky combat rifel" you mean one that can be purchaced for under $500.00 and never fail. You are right but I would not call that "junky".

"junky" rifle my big toe..........now there are some that are cheaply thrown together and aren't worth a fart but that's with almost everything you buy. i agree with the others when they say that people shooting cheap ammo combined with unsound shooting practices adds to alot of peoples perception that the ak is just a fun gun.
i look to it's use in almost every major conflict in resent history and the fact that i've seen footage of american troops using them in the war in the middle east as a testimonial to the effectiveness of this weapon. now is it more accurate then an ar?nope because the ar was built for distance shooting...is it better then the ar? that depends on what you want out of a rifle....when the poo hits the fan it's gonna be me and stefka.

The "junky" AK47 was rated the #1 combat rifle of all time.

The flaw is not with the AK being precise or not; the flaw is in the thinking that it is supposed to be.

Like the tools in our sheds each have different purposes, rifles do too.

The AK47 wasn't designed for 1-shot-1-kill at ridiculous distances, therefore requiring supreme precision and accuracy. It is meant to put a lot of rounds out quickly with decent accuracy - and it does a great job at that.

Have you even held an AK-47 let alone shot one? I can do just as well with my AK as I could do with my Colt AR-15 when I had it. And if SHTF Id grab my AK over the AR. I love my AK its like a rifle version of the USP-40 the thing wont ever stop. As far as accuracy with the AK its 99% shooter/ammo. The only thing better about my AR-15 than my AK, is my AR was made in the USA (God bless this country) But my AK has 7 USA made parts so I guess its AmeriKan now.

Lol @ AK haters yall just dont have a clue. Theres a reason the guns been #1 for so long.

Who really needs an AR when you can have an AK?

I sold my LE 6920 to fund more AKs and M14s
