I got ya all one better... I have a National Paintball Supply FS2000 that I filed the sideplate such that it had a 3/8" dovetail shape and fitted a .22lr 3-7x20 scope to it so that I could sight down the side of the marker rather than the top. It also allowed me to look closer at the shapes behind bushes to tell if they were people or shadows.

I tried it one time, and the kids used me for target practice. I'm old and slow, and make a real good painridden target. Once was enough!!

Well it's good to see others on this forum enjoy the sport as much as I do.

Felix Cortinas, I think we all just play paintball as a sport, much like basketball or football, and don't think we're soldiers or anything like that. I'm sorry you don't find the sport of paintball to your liking, but to each his own. Thank you for your service though.

Drywallguy, I live in Canada, so I won't be doing much paint slinging in the States. However, if I were to attend a game in the USA, it would definately be the annual Oklahoma D-Day event.

John Raven, you have a nice collection there!

As for the flatline barrel, yes it's not the most accurate barrel out there, but its main purpose is to give you distance and when you have some good balls, the right velocity (250-260fps) and calm winds, you can get some great distance. However, like real firearms, accuracy suffers at longer distances anyhow, so that would explain why people say "the flatline barrel has poor accuracy". It shoots fairly well at close to medium ranges.

Anyhow, if you guys are looking for some new mods to throw on your Tippmann's and Tiberius markers, check out the Underground Mod Shop. I have a few things from there, the parts are different from the rest, and they're built solid tough and made in the USA. The Underground Mod Shop Front Page

I don't play but my friend did, although he gave the markers to me because it was getting a little too expensive for him. sometimes in the summer I generally take them out and lower the can population with them which is great fun.

and yes I have a red dot on mine as well the Tippman is a great gun, Very accurate for a pball gun. The Spyder is also a great gun and is a lot of fun to blast away in full auto.

I used to play every weekend when I lived in Washington State. There's a lot of good quality woodsball fields up around there. Summers here in Arkansas are a little too hot for paintballing, so I usually stick to about this time of year.

My current set up is a 98 Custom with CAR stock, 200 Round Q-Loader with 2 extra q-pods, and a remote line that runs to a 60 ouce tank I carry on the back of my vest. I use a 16" flutted sniper barrel, or my flatline, depending on what I'm doing. I've also got the quick take-down twist-off bolts that let me change between the flatline and my sniper barrel pretty quickly. I mounted a 2X Red-Dot a while back (that was a bitch), and it seems to be working alright a couple years later. For my sidearm, I carry an Ariakon Overlord in a drop-leg holster that holds 3 extra 12-gram CO2's, and 2 extra 10-round magazines. Only drawback here is that its a Silver Overlord. I've been thinking about doing to OD Ceramic Bake-On Finish somewhere down the line. We'll see.

I used to play a whole lot of scenario, and woodsball, but don't have as much time as I used to. There's a decent place not to far from here called T-Square, and they have a few real nice woodsball fields. I should probably start getting back into it, since this stuff has been sitting in the closet for a while. Oh yeah, about the flatline. No, it isn't as accurate as my sniper barrel, but its not nearly as bad as its made out to be. As long as you install it right, keep your chrono consistent, and feed it decent paint, it'll be plenty accurate for most applications.
