New Chicken Recipe pilfered from Paula Deen

Okay a a preface to this it isn't one of my personal recipes and I give credit to it's originator Paula Deen, but I was so intriqued by it when I saw her preparing it, I had to try it out and having done so I had to share! I have however made 2 or 3 adjustments to her recipe.

Sweet/Hot Bacon wrapped chicken chunks

6-7 boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into apx 1 1/2"-2" chunks
2 C Dark brown sugar packed
4 tbls FRESH chili powder (don't use the stuff you've been saving in yer pantry or frig since 1984)
Bacon
Liquid Margarita mixer
Toothpicks

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Rinse and pat dry chicken chunks and place in a bowl, pour liquid margarita mix sufficient to cover over chicken cover tightly and allow to marinade for about 30 minutes.

In a separate bowl thoroughly stir together brown sugar and chili powder.
Cut enough bacon slices in half so you have 1 half slice of bacon per chicken chunk. Remove chicken from marinade and drain well, then wrap each chunk with bacon and secure with a toothpick, dredge in brown sugar and chili powder mix throughly covering all sides place on baking sheet or glass baking dish. Bake for apx 20-25 minutes until bacon is crisp, serve with either ranch dressing or Paces new Tequila Lime salsa OLE'

Enjoy!!!

Yepper you can use breast meat as well but as with most recipes calling for breast meat I fine the thighs remain juicier and more tender after cooking..
