GO FOR IT KNIGHTRIDER ,I TOO HAVE A CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT (AZ). WILL GO CLASS 3 SOON . IF NOBODY GETS THESE PERMITS DOESN'T IT LOOK LIKE THEY AREN'T NEEDED. I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE I KNOW WHO HAS GUNS TO GET A CCW.I DONT CARRY ALL THE TIME BUT ITS NICE TO HAVE. WHEN I LIVED IN KALIFORNIA YOU COULDN'T GET A PERMIT TO CARRY A SHARP OBJECT. IGNORE YOUR RIGHTS LONG ENOUGH AND THEY WILL GO AWAY!

... while I am all about owning firearms and accessories, I am also about owning things such as silencers. They are fun... I've used enough to know. Hey... I live in a state that does not allow CCW... but does anyone actually believe I wouldn't do it if I felt the necessity? Once we get Doyle out of the capital, we'll have a better chance at CCW permits. Funny... they surround themselves with an armed protective detail yet the citizens are not allowed the same? BS ...

My concern is that you stated, " I want one so i can target shoot im my back yard , when ever i feel like it ." ... do you live on a ranch or something that is out of city limits? While a silencer obtained may be procured and owned legally, discharging a weapon within city limits is not.

... just a thought.

No!
What I said was "if I really needed one" I see that as the time when nobody is a "law bidding citizen" I can't imagine any other time "I" would need one!

Like I said, "untill then I'll just use ear plugs"!

KR, you can do what ever you like. You did not, however, need to refer to WW as an anti moron. Your original post has an icon that says you want feed-back so why lambast someone because of the feed-back given. No you don't need to apologize for your rudeness and you have the right to be as legal or illegal as you want. If you can't accept another poster's opinion, then don't ask for feed-back. I don't believe Sam was referring to your wanting a silencer he was referring to your name calling.

Hell, KR...I agree with the silencer bit too. My opinion is that if governmental agencies have and use them then so should the good guys; only problem is the bad guys will have them too. I don't think I'd like being a cop on the beat knowing Buster Badguy has a silencer.
A good rule of thumb is to be able to outgun your enemy; at the minimum be on the same level of play.

Im a LEO i could care less if a jon Q public has a silencer I would like to have one myself for simular reasons that billy does. And what extra power exactly does having a silencer give to a criminal? none in my view and if they want one they will just weld a lawnmower muffler on a 9mm(I have confiscated one from a thug) but it makes the weapon larger and harder to conceal doesnt make killing any easier or harder just a little quiter but by the time someone hears the noise it to late anyway.

Where does the law stand on silenced weapons with integral silencers, like the De-lisle carbine, Welrod & OSS Histandard HDM?
One of my friends(in Britain) has a modern De Lisle reproduction and used to have a Histandard HDM.

OK, lets say I have a rilfe or a handgun (or a shotgun even - Seen No country for old men?) and it doesn't have a built in attachment for a suppressor.

Do I buy a kit to add one?

Also, KR, I am also grown, decent job, no kids, and have disposable income. If I wasn't wanting to buy a house soon I would have a butt load of guns. If you by chance live anywhere near KC, MO I go shooting a lot with friends and together we own a variety of guns and take turns firing each others guns.

Last weekend fired my AK .223, a 30.06 w/ scope, 1911 Colt 45, my Ruger 9mm, and some swedish sniper rifle my friend's boss picked up (can't remember what it was for the life of me). The sniper rifle he had picked up that day at a gun show and it had a hair trigger on it. I mean if you sneezed while holding the gun it went off.

We spent about 2 hours at the rifle range firing at 25 yard and 50 yard targets. It was a blast. I found out that I am a crack shot at 50 yards with that 30.06 with a scope. Hit the red almost every time in the target.

have fun. I am trying to find someone that has a few HK pistols. I really want to buy a HK but I want to shoot one first before I buy. One of my buddies has one of the older bulkier ones he bought back in the mid 90s, so I may just hit him up.

No ranges offer to rent a HK because apparently they don't have a range program. I am not sure what that means but that is what the guy at the gun club told me.
