Super Bowl 42 - Patriots or Giants?

With the game only hours away, what are you thoughts and predictions? Personally, I don't see the Giants winning this game. They played near perfect against the Pats in the last week of the season. The Patriots played decent, and yet the Giants still couldn't pull off the win. With two weeks to study the Giants, two weeks to rest, I just don't see how it's possible. Eli is going to have to play the perfect game to even give the Giants a chance, much like he did last time. My prediction, Patriots 38 - Giants 17. I think Brady will hook up with Moss early to try and scare the Giants defense. Then in the second half look for Welker and Moroney to control the clock. And I also want to add, I want the Patriots to win to SHUT UP THE 72 DOLPHINS!!!

I'll probably watch the last quarter, but like you said I think the Patriots are just going to man handle them.

Wish the Browns were there instead

The Patriots are gonna win, it's all but an assured victory. The Giants arrived in town sick from the flu, there's no way they'll be able to play and beat the Patriots this soon.

I agree, but it appears the Patriots have the advantage.

I'm sure the Patriots will win, but I guess I hope they won't.

+1
today at church a young man was saying that there was no team ever as good as the pats.
i looked at him and told him that i have watched
all 41 prior superbowls and that he was nuts if he thought that they could hold up to the steelers of the 70's, he then asked me hold old are you to have seen all of the superbowls? and when i told him i was 50 he couldn't do the math to figure out that i was 8 when the 1st superbowl was played.
i'm sure that theres a lot of guys here that remember all the games and have their fav. teams
but to have a pimpled face teenager tell me that the pats. are the greatest team ever just boiled my blood.

Games already started and Im a little late. Right now its 3-0 G-Men. Id like to say dont count out the G-Men the have only lost 1 game on the road all season. And Arizona isnt home to either of these teams. But with that said I personaly look for the Pats to win and make history. And I hope they do, personaly if I wasnt a Steelers fan I would be a Pats fan. Billicheck gets guys who cos's problems everywhere else and then makes them shut up and play. I love the 3-4 defensive scheme best in the land imo. That team is loaded with veterans and some has no rings Junior Seau one of the best Linebackers off all time. Bruschi is what 2 years off a stroke? Moss hasnt been a issue all season and when something does happen its a ex girlfriend cosing the problems not him running his mouth or running over a secruity guard. I like this team and I hope that they win. If I had to make a score prediction Id say 31-30 Pats. Hard to beat a team twice in this day and age. Also so what if they did cheat this season, so what if they cheated in the past. You tell me that every team in the league doesnt steal signals if they get a chance. The only problem iwth the Pats is that they got caught. Rember Jesse Ventura when he was wrestling he use to say you aint trying unless your cheating.

Well, it's half time and the score is 7-3 Patriots. The Giants defense is getting to Brady. I'd look for the Patriots to come out and throw quick slants and screen passes to neutralize the Giants pass rush. That combined with some delayed hand offs out of the shotgun to Faulk and Moroney. The Giants offense isn't doing much either. Brady looked pissed, I'd expect him to have a little more time in the second half.

Still 7-3 start of 4th, didnt Plax say the Pats would only score 17. Maybe he should have said 17 total points for the game...lol

I tried to say this earlier but I dont think it stuck.

Defense wins championshps, offense wins game.

The MVP should have went to the G-Mens D-line.

#1 reason I became a Steelers fan seemed year in year out they had one of the best D's. Even during the Kordell Stewart days...lol Plus I love the 3-4 scheme, linebackers kickk butt.

I agree, Seabeescotty; I am not a fan of either team but I got to say, they played a heck of a game and I think deserved to win. My son lost $20 on the game but even he agrees with me. lol

Well, I'm surprised at the outcome. I think it would have been a much different game if the Pats had been able to defend their quarterback more than a handful of times. Seems like Brady was getting pressured and dragged down constantly.
