Arob...The subject of fishing got my attention fast.
Can't wait till it warms up here in Kansas City to get back to Crappie fishing in Smithville Lake, located about 20 miles from me.
You mentioned fishing for "shiners and suckers and sunfish and perch and ONE BASS"
. We have the sunfish, perch and bass, plus crappie, channel cat, and others where I fish. Mainly I fish for crappie using minnows, and for bass using jigs and lures of various types.
I can't tell from your picture if you're fly fishing...or bait fishing...but I'm guessing it's with flyrods. I've never tried that but it looks like fun if you've got plenty of space.
One thing for sure, the more time your hook is in the water the better odds you have of catching something.(ha) Standing around the banks killing time is wasted time you that you might catch that lunker.
