Bushnell, Nikon, Leupold. Spend at least $200+ and you will get the same technology in each. Spend more if you can and get their top of the line. Remember, you will pay a LOT just for the name. Scopes to steer away from: Simmons, Tasco, Leapers, Barska, NC Star. All just my opinion, guys! If I had my pick, I'd go online, and find me a Redfield 3x9x40! Preferably a Wide Field, Low Profile one at that. But good luck. Any of us lucky enough to own one won't sell!

Depends on your budget

Depends on your budget but I have really had good experiences with Bushnell scopes over the years.
They are priced for the general public.

I'll let you know for sure on the Leapers there Swede. i went with one of those to try on an SKS. Didn't want to drill into the gun to install a side mount so I went with, again to try a scope, the receiver cover scope mount and didn't want to thrash and end up in the trash more expensive scope.

Leapers 5th Generation True-Strength scopes are put, according to them, a vigorous thrashing and they are guaranteed. But I'll let you know for sure. The place I bought it is suppose to be sending me free 1" rings. I went with this Leapers by the way.
Leapers 5th Gen 4X32 Mini Size A.O. Range Estimating Mil-Dot Red/Green Illuminated Scope SCP-432AOMDL2 w/ FREE Shipping SALE

Please not I spent around 25 bucks less then that sight sells it for. My gun accessory guy gave me a great price. $54.99 if I remember correct? According to their website, the sisters to the model I bought were tested on not only a break barrel pellet gun but also a .416 Rigby.
OPTICS

I'm not arguing with you or even trying to. I'll simply let you know. I bought it again, low cost, didn't want to screw up a more expensive one, and they have been tested to the extreme, see link below. We shall see though.

As for the NC Stars, I'm on the fence there. The gun shop near me became an NC dealer when he first opened his store. Uses one of the MarkIII series on his AR for deer hunting and says it works great. He's come home with deer anyhow. So it's all as you said, a matter of opinion.

Certain models of all brands in not only scopes but most everything have/has there bottom end. Example, Car manufacturers do also. I'm sure you remember the Chevy Vega, the Ford Escort, or the Ford Pinto, Chevy Cavalier, Dodge Neon, they all made bottom end model cars? But they all also make high end models vehicles also. Same goes for a couple of the scope companies you mentioned. Again, we shall see. Well I will anyhow, hopefully still be able to after a few shots anyhow. lmao

I have a Bushnell,Leupold, and a Redfield.I like all of them.Out of the 3,the Bushnell was least expensive and has the most clarity.
It is the"LEGEND" 3-9x50. I got it for about $170.00
