I suppose examining the picture could give a bit more clues. Just for the record, I have no idea where this is. But, I am sure that mountain has a name, being so prominent. It is probably springtime, being there is snow left on the mountain, but the lake is not iced over as well as it being so green along the shoreline. Rainbows rarely occur before noon...so it must be afternoon when the picture was taken. So, judging by the angle of the shadows, the picture is taken from the SW-to-SSW side of the mountain.

So, time to scan Google for a named mountain with a lake at the SW-to-SSW base of it. It looks like a big lake too. hehe. Let's see if someone can find it tonight. I'm still at work, so I can't really spend too much time looking yet.
