This one may be a bit unusual, but I sure would appreciate some advice.

A good friend from overseas is meeting me in California, and we're then traveling to Arizona. Sadly, she tells me that guns are very restricted in her country, and she has always wanted to fire a handgun. I'd like to find a gun range where we can rent a gun, buy some ammo, and hire an instructor to give her a little introduction to guns -- perhaps a quick safety overview, learn a bit about the gun, and some target practice. Obviously I want her to be able to enjoy this experience safely, but since she'll never be able to own a gun back home, I need to take her some place where they can accommodate a one-time experience. I was thinking about a one-hour experience in total.

Can anyone suggest someplace in south or central Californa, or central or north Arizona, that might be willing to accommodate her? If not a specific range, can you offer some advice on how to find one? Any ideas on how to make this more enjoyable for her?

There is a place in LasVages, NV where you can rent full auto stuff for use on the range.
