Relax, mym1a. I said look, not "punish" or "ruin his life." If he believes his brother was justified, the cuckoo bird may have laid an egg in his nest, too. If I were connected to the case, I'd consider it a common-sense precaution to check him out, and assess the chances of him blaming everyone else for his brother's death and going postal himself.

If he looks okay, no harm done.

maybe the whole family is crazy?? honestly what would you have the authorties do to him?

That depends on what they see. If he's simply an upset man grieving for his brother, back off and give him some room to deal with it.

If he's crazy like his brother and planning to avenge him, take his guns. You know, there honestly are nuts out there who are a menace to themselves or the world; I see nothing anti-gun about putting the lid on a lunatic before he hurts someone.
