Fox News just had a breaking news report that 2 tanker trucks loaded with Diesel fuel were stolen some where in Virginia.
Homeland Security has gotton involved to locate these 2 trucks.
There not ruleing out this could lead to a possible terrorist attack.

This has the potential to be something bad, or nothing at all. Something tells me that if somebody wanted a lot of diesel for terrorisim, they might try to fly under the radar a little, and not steal two tankers.

But the thought is still un-nerving; I hope they find them quick.

Either one of those two could make Oklahoma City look like a firecracker much less if both are together.

naaa terrorist attack? we don't have any terrorist! more then likely some angry white man who has very long commutes to work everyday, probably owns a gun too!!! expect this spin on the regular news net works, could be nothing more then a criminal wanting to make a fast buck, 7k gallons sold for $ 2.oo or $3.00 a gallon $14,000 to $21,000 profit for a few hours work???

Don't most of the new trucks have the things in them now so the dispatcher can tell if he's sitting on his butt or driving, if so and where? I've heard of some having something like that. So if they do, and they haven't disconnected or ripped them out, they should find them soon. This is providing they're newer trucks?

If it is terrorist related, there are a few targets they could choose from in Virginia isn't there? And I don't doubt it might be terrorist related. You, well we all know dam well there are probably quite a few sleeper cells here.

That truck would be detonated and kill or harm less then 50 people and it wouldn't matter. One thing like that happens, and some terrorist group takes responsibility for it, we're screwed. A second one happens, look for martial law and the talk of a draft.

Has any body here heard the story of chicken little.
One person reports two trailers of diesel stolen and one says o my god a trailer of gas could cause a lot of damage.
Different liquids.
Diesel mixed with ammonium nitrate (a solid fertilizer) and diesel make a good explosive but has to be mixed. Diesel and ammonium nitrous (liquid fertilizer) makes a good bang also but has to be mixed.
In both cases diesel is a retardant to slow combustion as the other two are oxidizers meaning they make their own oxygen.
All trucks, new or old, can be equipped with tracking devices but cost money.

More than likly it was stolen for resale on the black market.

Now if a couple of trailer loads of the other ingrediants dissapper then worry.

As I said, say this was a terrorist group. And say they blow one of them up. Doesn't matter about the damage, this country would stop in it's tracks full of fear. The average citizen scream SAVE US OMG OMG so loud it wouldn't matter what the government actually "took", as long as it made them feel safe.

if what you say is correct what makes you think they can't place the ingrediants needed on a later date? I doubt if any of this is true? anything would happen today! as for chicken little , prior to 9/11 I doubt most would of predicted that ?

I agree with those who think there ways for terrorists to get their hands on diesel fuel that don't involve unwelcome attention from John Law. I doubt a terror cell would want to draw attention to what they were up to.

Yeah but anymore I don't know what to believe and what to write off as some pissed off trucker. Anymore about everything gets reported. If you go buy over the counter sinus stuff your treated like a criminal. Stealing a truck full of fuel would probably bring less heat on a terrorist cell then some middle eastern looking guy buying small quantities of fertilizer from the local Southern States. I think our fear and suspicious minds could very well start to work against us instead of for us. Random acts are not always random acts, yet most of the time get treated as such.
