same here irish murphy farmers use to get a tax break on their fuel, they probably still do?????been awhile

Yep off road diesel farm equipment, earth movers, graders, dozers etc.
Seems weird around the states, gas in Virginia lower than PA, California Way up, there "Air Pollution" BS...Ya know i missed out on some good fishing last year because the gas was more than what it would cost to just buy the fins at the store. But i did manage to steelhead fish in tribs going to Lake Erie. And also i am lucky, down the way there are some nice streams i could walk to or drive the ATV to have a little fun. But they are stocked trout. Not a big challenge.

The ULSD (Ultra Low Sulpher Diesel) is died green 15 ppm and the off road is died red here that has no tax on it. Because they aren't using and abusing the road.

Irish, you are a gentleman. You have my respect. Sorry one of ours used such uncalled for examples.

I'm with you, the comment was uncalled for. this is a discussion about fuel costs. Our offroad diesel here isn't as clean as the highway stuff and tends to clog filters. Talked to a guy who tried to use it, and it ended up costing more to change filters every time he turned around.

the off-road diesel is the same as regular diesel, he just got bad fuel some places just have crap in their fuel. I had that happen with regular diesel once.

First of all, nothing that I said to Irishmurphy was personal, if you reread what I said, I was applying it to Austrailians and Europeans collectively. In order for a group of people to be taxed that badly is if a majority of them allow it to happen. The only way a guy would take that personal is if he had poor reading comprehension or have insecurity issues. Neither of which I have any control of.

Secondly, for being a guy that doesnt like internet smack talk (which I wasnt enguaging in) you contradict yourself by lobbing jr. high vulgarities at me. You don't see a problem with that?

Thirdly, What do you mean by "never have to answer for it"? Does this reply count?

Yep thats what he's talking about farm use diesel mym1a.
I accidently put some in my company truck, I noticed the the heavly red dye color when I topped it out.
It burns good !!! But if the DOT would of checked I would of got a hefty fine.

EDIT : For the record we all pay a high tax on fuels per gallon. I just looked it up and Federal and State along with some fees is about 70 cents avg. at the site I went to.
Thats per gallon !!!!
