Get on the web and all powder mfg,s,bullet mfg,s,loading press mfg,s,and such have loads.Either you can copy or some have free pamplets they will send you. They vary so get several. The way to use them is figure out a minimum load and work up until you get an accurate load for your firearm.Get a handloading manual and read how to recognise pressure sign while working up a load. Some will give loads on here but I think that is dangerous because a load that is acceptable in my firearm may be dangerous in yours. sam.

Im an experienced handloader.. was just wondering if anyone had a tried and true - proven bullet and powder combination in their recipe book. Ive got several possibles im going to try, just wanted to see if someone else had already done the expensive part for me... lol!

My uncle has been builting rifles for this chamber for years. It's what the 300 Win Mag would have been, had Norma not marketed it first as the 308 Norma Magnum. It was originally designed for 600 and 1000 yd benchrest competition. Ballistically it like the 300 Win Mag, plus 200 fps, given the same bullet weights.

Damnit it... I made a real inclusive post in reply to your comments, but it didnt process for whatever reason.

Sam,
Im an experienced handloader, just wondering if anyone had any proven bullet/powder combos in their recipe books that have worked well for them. I have several Im going to try, just wanted to see if someone had done the work for me.

killer,
Ive liked this round since my uncle started building custom rifles with this chamber over 20 yrs ago. It was originally designed for 600-1000yd benchrest competition. It's what the 300 Win Mag would have been, had Norma not marketed it first as the 308 Norma Magnum. Most reloading manuals dont show 30-338, but the 308 Norma load data is literally the same.

My gun is a Sako "A" action with a custom barrel built from a blank, not a previous .30 cal reamed out.

How would you possibly get 200 fps more out of the 30-.338, when it has a slightly SMALLER case capacity than the 300 Win Mag?

My bad.. typed that wrong.

It should read the opposite, 300 Win Mag is about 200 fps faster given same bullet weights
