I have just obtained a Stoeger 9mm cougar(used). There seems to be a little more play between the reciever and frame in a sideways motion. I guess my question to anyone is how much movement is allowed before accuracy is affected. My other auto's (9mm) seem to be abit more tight.

Outstanding unit that Stoeger will have to market properly. You saved a bundle with the Stoeger marketing. Beretta will be the 'service center'

Now the play? don't know, The unit should be fairly accurate out of the box.

The accuracy in semi auto's come from barrel to slide lock up not slide to frame. Shoot it and see how it does.

Thanks for the information. That seems sound on accuracy. I'll see what happens when I shoot the pistol.
