Rem Primers

Due to the fact that i dont want to pay hazmat fee to order primers online and all the stores around my area either dont carry Remington magnum 9.5 large rifle primers or cant seem to order the right ones time after time b/c apparently its too hard to write something down, im looking for suggestions for a equal to or better primer that hopefully i can get at the nearby shooting supplier. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

the federal 215 is a pretty consistent primer
the win primer uses aluminum and it works really well if you are not
using a case full of powder

I would not hesitate to use CCI 250, Federal 215, or Winchester WLRM in place of the Remington 9 1/2M. It's always best to lower the powder charge initially for safeties sake whenever you change a component.

I like CCI. The Remingtons peel plating when loaded (at least mine has the last times I used them).

How the he** could Winchester use alluminum??? With any soft metal including steel you would have more slamfires than you can emagine and to get any strength out of alluminum they would have to be very thick. And with its low melting temp and heat transfer i would try to keep it away from hot gasses. As Midas says, think before you post.Federal is what they use most on the line, for consistency.I rate Winchester next and CCI third.I dont use remington for their habit of failing to fire.I have had factory ammo fail to fire when using Remington a few times, not often but enough I dont trust it. sam.

What are you loading?Have you tried standard primers? sam.

win is the only one that i'm sure of it has some kind of aluminum in it
gives it a kind of "spitting" effect helps the ball type powders they use
burn evenly
thik not just back to front
