I don't know what others have been say'n, but I have always had good luck with brown bear. I think it's better than wolf.

Nothing wrong with BB or wolf or the tiger. I like the bear myself, but they are all about the same. Except for the old wolf lacquer stuff which can get a little messy. I think most everything now is the polymer coating though.

Personally, I just shoot wolf (black box). I've shot a little brown bear in the resent past, Cant really tell any difference between them. I wish I could still find Norinco ammo at $1.50 a box. Oh well, I guess those days are gone for ever.

The only experience with Brown Bear ammo is in 9mm. I have very repeatable failures in my S&W Model 39 (in new condition with <300 rounds through it) - fires first shot & ejects; fires second shot & doesn't eject. Split case requires rod to push it out of chamber. However, anecdotal info from various shooters indicates it's a good brand with no mention of 9mm.
