The C2 by Taser International is designed to penetrate 2 inches of clothing, it will even penetrate leather coats. However, even if it does not fully penetrate clothing, it will taser you via your clothing. When I took the ride I was not hit with the barbs but rather by gator clips on my sleeve and the pocket of my pants. I felt the full effects of the taser without it ever touching my skin, just my clothing.

No tasers, but lots of firearms. If I have to defend myself, I will do it with something that takes out the threat for good.
