They should've used a 12ga. loaded with BB shot. No pistol, no hand to ever do this again.

Ive seen this on court tv. After they blow the gun out of his hand one officer tackles him knocks him back in the chair, then just about every single officer there dives on him. Thats only the half of it.

I'm glad everyone shares the same views. Apparently this individual felt this was the only solution to end a life that, in his opinion, was not worth living. Suicide, and this was suicide by cop, is a terrible thing that effects many people in many ways.Does anyone know if this guy actually harmed anyone other than the threat to himself? I understand a mentally-deranged person with a gun is a danderous threat to everyone involved, but to say this is the way to treat mental illness, and laugh about it, doesn't say too much for us.Now if this guy just got done with murdering a family, or having escaped jail while waiting sentencing for child abuse, then I agree, the shot placement was indeed too low.I don't know what the anwser is for this video.Maybe this was the best way. But to dismiss mental illness with crude comments, well..........IMHO

I have to say, sometimes the stars are right and a bad situation can be resolved in a way that is little shy of perfect.

This was one of those times.

No loss of life, no major injuries, no suicide by cop, just a perfect disarm and a nice takedown.

I'll bet somebody went home and slept the sleep of the just after that shot.

I agree. The ending was the correct one. Depression/mental illness is a horrible and debillatating disease.
