I don't know where all this will lead, but we as a free ppl have an obligation to ensure our own freedom. As we have done in the past. Special intrest groups have influenced our government for too long, and we need to take it to the polls, we need to band together, and get our voice heard, and our concerns and questions dealt with. Why has this been kept so quiet? When you think about it, this is some scary stuff, and we all need to think about what this could mean to us and ours.

This highway going through out country from Mexico to Canada is a clear invasion route to anypoint in our country. What I understand about it is that the Mexican govt is going to control the highway.

That sounds like a North American Union if you ask me. Did anybody else see Mexico's President make his rounds in the US media hawking the NAU? Its sickening what Americans put up with these days. The media sell treason as patriotism.

Get a grip, son. Somehow, I doubt the Mexican government is going to "control" any highway within our borders, or Canada's either. That's just paranoia, pure and simple.

And how, just out of idle curiosity, would a highway up the middle of the country be a "clear invasion route" to California, where I live? In case you've never been here, there are only a handful of routes into the state through the mountain passes and the desert. If anyone wanted to invade this end of the country, it wouldn't do them any good at all to start from some highway a thousand or more miles away...

Who would want California anyway, going to fall in the ocean and the people are pretty much disarmed already. Not much resistance to invasion there

The mexicans want PRK and I would be happy to hand it back to them but that is a big border to secure.

Don't count on it. My family and friends alone could arm a good chunk of the state, if it came to that.

Despite the stereotypes, there's a whole lot more to California than Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Berkeley and San Francisco.

Also note that California is the home to numerous military bases. I have a buddy who is staioned outside about an hour outside of palm springs. I don't think him or any of his fellow marines would take kindly to any type of invasion.

Another thought. I believe I heard that this secret Canadian Treaty was signed during a summit with the United States, Canada, and Mexico. I wonder if a secret treaty with Mexico might also exist?

There's also the little matter of the rattletrap Mexican trucks having to meet US standards before the damyankee gummint would allow them to roll in the United States. We are not talking about an international corridor here, like the highways to West Berlin through East Germany during the Cold War that sat on East German territory but were administered and maintained by West Germany; we are talking about an interstate-class US highway open to all. Every so often you hear the Mexican politicians suggesting that their deathtrap 18-wheelers and 10-wheelers that would never pass any state inspection here be allowed to run on roads and highways within 10 miles of the border (the camel's-nose-under-the-tent approach to gaining unlimited access). And every time one of the Mexican windbags proposes this, the US Department of Transportation slaps him firmly down, usually with the hearty support of the governors of states on that border.

The last time that idea was voiced, I think it was the governor of Arizona who suggested in return that he'd be happy to allow Mexican trucks within 10 miles of the border in Arizona - provided the trucks could pass an Arizona safety inspection, meet Arizona's emission standards, and were driven by American citizens with American CDLs being paid American wages.

I haven't heard it brought up since in the media.

Cool

If the MIC has anything to say about it,and I'm sure he will as he has taken the title of the decider, among others, and will surely side with big business and Mexico.

The biggest threats to our freedom aren't necessarily outside of our borders. Lately, they have been coming from within.

A few years ago i would never have thought I would agree with TXplt's statement but I sure do now. The President making treaties without approval of Congress, passing the Patriot Act when it clearly violates some of the provisions of the Constitution and the North American Union wanting to regulate and control commerce in the United states are all things that we, the people of the United States must address.

Agreed... bought politicians making decisions for their own financial future, not that of the state or its' people.

No problem, Sam. We got you covered from this end. You just keep an eye on Massachusetts, and places like that... no telling what you might face from that direction.
