Glad you had a chance to get out and shoot, Marion. I plan to do the same in the morning. I just cleaned up my Russian SKS and tonight will finish up with my Yugo. Spent 1 hour cleaning the Russian and at least two more trying to clean my M39. Got the Russian clean. The M39 still needs work.

Bought 80 rounds of by-39 ammo for the SKSes. I guess it will be 40 rounds per rifle. Maybe take a couple minutes.

Got to shoot my SKSes today. I had forgotten how much fun they are to shoot! Blew through 60 rounds in about 15 minutes. My Russian shot very well with no adjustments to the sights. The Yugo shot WAAAY low at first but a quick adjustment in the elevation got her dialed in pretty well. The range got pretty crowded by the time I got to my SKSes. I started shooting and was not popular with the guy at the next bench. My brass kept landing on his bench and down his shirt. I shoot south paw and he was right handed. He was nice about it but he stopped shooting and stepped away until I finished a clip. Felt bad about it when I realized why he was stepping away. I am going to have to get a brass deflector.
