Glock 27 Good Deal ?

Hello members I have a question for you, but I'll give some detail first.
My former Police officer son is now a State Park Ranger.
He called tonight to see how his mom and I were doing and while I was talking to him he mentioned that the Superintendent of the Park had a Glock 27 in 40 S&W caliber he wanted to sell.
When the guy bought the gun new he bought 50 rounds of ammo and has shot some through it but still had some ammo left.
So it hasn't been shot much.
He has a total of 3 magazines and the kit that comes with the pistol.
My son looked the pistol over and it still looks new and he could buy it for $300.00.
He then ask if I wanted it and I said let me check at Gun and Game and I would call him back.

What do yall think ? Is this a good Deal ? I really don't need it, but I am or was intending on buying the small 380 semi-auto Ruger LCP they came out with.
Please let me know your thoughts...A.H

I got mine at a good deal in "used-like new" condition for $460 after auction+shipping+transfer fee... so that's an OUTSTANDING deal. Pick it up, you won't be sorry.

I would like to see a Glock 27 to see how small it is, I do know it's a great deal BUT I need something a little bit bigger than a KelTec 32 and I almost bought a KelTec 380 from a friend of my son 4 weeks ago.
Then I found where Ruger is comeing out with what they named the LCP 380 which looks to be a more refined KelTec 380.
I have no dought's about the Glock being one of the best semi-auto's to be had and the price he'll take for it is unbeleiveable.
The Glock may be a little bit bigger than what I want.
I'm temped to buy it anyway and do some tradeing next fall and I wonder if I could get more than what I'd pay for the Glock 27 if I were to trade it off ?

Once you shoot the GLOCK 27 and CC carry you may not wish to get rid of it. A good price and you will not loose anything on the deal. They usually go for a little over $500 most places new.

300 for a Glock 27 is a STEAL! I like the 23 personally, but if somebody offered to sell me a 27 for 300 I'd buy it just to hang on to and let appreciate in value. That is a great CCW pistol. I have fired the 26 and thought it was too small, but with the magazine extension and Hogue grip that can change.

AH, I gave 425 for a used G26 but in about the same condition, it was hardly used, that is a steal for the 27.

I talked to my son last night and he is thinking about buying it for a back up and I hope he does and I told him I'd pay for half of it if he wants it LOL I need something smaller to carry around the size of a KelTec 380.
I'm hoping the Ruger LCP 380 has great reviews, I even have my wifes blessing to buy the Glock or the Ruger LCP.
We'll see ...A.H

AH, you might be surprised at how well those "bricks" conceal. I CC and OC my G27 in an outside-the-pants holster (Blackhawk SERPA CQC, level 2) and all I have to do to conceal is use an overshirt... even a light polyester one that has about the same weight as silk covers it and doesn't print any more than a cellphone would. I also have the Pearce +1 grip extension and the Hogue Handall grip sleeve.

Before I got the SERPA, I used to carry condition 3 (no round in chamber, full mag, trigger cocked) with it slipped down the small of my back in my pantwaist with my belt tightened up an extra notch. I am a righty and had it "palm-in" draw, so the muzzle was pointed down to the left. With it like that, the ejection port on the slide positively engaged my belt and waistband, preventing it from either sliding down or falling out. I even went jogging and riding on my mountain bike around my town and it didn't budge. Now that I have a holster, there's no way I'd do that, since I want to carry with a round in the chamber, but it's amazing what these little guns can do!

Sounds like the LEO model if it came with 3 mags. I have a 23 and want a 27, both very nice guns iff'ns you ask me. For 300 bucks, that's a very good deal considering most go for over 400 easily, usually around 460 - 480.
